About Emily
American soprano Emily Perry is most recognized for her captivating stage presence, shimmering high notes, and vocal flexibility. Emily is proud to have been selected as a member of the Voces8 US Scholars, and she will tour with the group during the 24/25 season. She recently sang the role of Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi with Queens Opera Institute, and she performed the title role of Wilhelmina in the collegiate premiere of the children’s opera, Listen, Wilhelmina!
Other recent highlights include the role of Ida in Die Fledermaus with Music on Site, Inc., as well as Duchess Carolina (Luisa Fernanda), Donna Eleonora (Prima la musica e poi le parole), and Lady Ella (Gilbert and Sullivan’s Patience) with Baylor Opera Theatre. Emily is looking forward to returning to Music on Site, Inc. to sing the role of Zerlina in Don Giovanni.
A versatile musician, Emily also shines in concert performances and professional choral work. She recently performed the aria O quante volte with Maestro Miguel Harth Bedoya and the Baylor Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Perry was a professional ensemble member with Transept in South Dakota, and she is a founding member of the Central Texas Baroque ensemble Vox Seraphim where she was a soloist and chorus member in Handel’s Messiah, Vivaldi’s Gloria, and Handel’s Dixit Dominus.
Perry began her music studies at South Dakota State University where she earned her Bachelor of Music degree in music education. In May 2024, Emily completed her Master of Music degree at Baylor University in vocal performance, where she was a winner of the Outstanding Graduate Singer award. She is currently based in Florida, where she sings with the Pensacola Opera chorus.
